The Green Crew
Youth-Led – Science-Based Environmental Service Projects
Launched in January 2022, the Green Crew is the youth programming of the Izaak Walton League – MN Valley Chapter. The youth leadership team is also incorporated as BSA Venture Unit 3111.
Youth are trained and supported to design and implement increasingly complex environmental service projects with real impact. All of the projects are free and open to the public. Anyone can participate!
What Type of Projects?
All our projects are youth initiated, designed, planned, and executed. Projects incorporate the latest science, evidence-based solutions, and the Leave No Trace principles.
Our volunteer adult mentors support the youth so that they are learning how to manage environmental and conservation projects.
